1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Ambience.House website (ambience.house) or any of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or services.

2. Services

Ambience.House provides residential energy assessment services in Alameda County and the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including:

• Home Energy Score (HES): A U.S. Department of Energy–certified assessment of your home's energy performance, conducted by a qualified assessor.
• 4D ThermoScan: Thermal imaging–based inspection to identify insulation gaps, air leaks, and moisture intrusion.

Assessment Integrity

Home Energy Score assessments are conducted by DOE-certified assessors based solely on observable on-site conditions and verifiable documentation — such as permit records, construction history, and equipment specifications. All assessments are subject to quality assurance review by the Program Administrator. Homeowners, real estate agents, and other third parties cannot influence or modify assessment scores. The score reflects the physical characteristics of the home, not the preferences of any party.

Our services are for informational and advisory purposes. We do not perform construction, renovation, or installation work.

3. Appointments and Cancellations

Appointments are scheduled through our Google Calendar booking system. We ask that cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 12 hours in advance. We reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee for late cancellations at our discretion.

4. Our Commitment and Limitations

We take pride in delivering accurate, evidence-based assessments. That said, energy performance is influenced by many factors beyond our control — including occupant behavior, future utility rate changes, and subsequent modifications to the home. For this reason, we cannot guarantee specific energy savings or utility bill reductions as a result of following our recommendations.

Assessment results reflect conditions observed at the time of the visit. We encourage you to ask questions and discuss findings with your assessor during or after the inspection.

5. Liability

Ambience.House carries General Liability insurance. In the unlikely event that property or equipment is damaged in the course of an assessment, we are committed to responding in good faith within the coverage of our policy.

However, we cannot be held responsible for outcomes resulting from actions taken based on assessment recommendations, including but not limited to contractor workmanship, material selection, or changes in energy prices. Our liability for matters not covered by our General Liability policy shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on ambience.house — including text, images, graphics, and the Ambience.House logo — is the property of Ambience.House and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce or distribute any content without prior written permission.

7. SMS Terms and Conditions

Program Name: Ambience House Alerts

Program Description: We send a one-time SMS containing a link to our website (https://ambience.house) or our direct booking page only when a customer explicitly requests it by pressing the respective key ('1' or '2') on our automated phone system.

Message Frequency: One message per request. Message frequency varies based on user interaction.

Pricing: Message and data rates may apply.

Support/Help: For assistance or customer support, please reply HELP or contact us at info@ambience.house.

Opt-Out Instructions: To opt-out and cancel, reply STOP at any time. You will not receive further messages.

8. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alameda County, California.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective Date" at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
